Ingredients of Bottle Gourd Rice

  1. You need 1/2 Bottle of Gourd chopped.
  2. You need 1 1/2 cup of sona masoori rice.
  3. It's 2 3/4 cup of water.
  4. You need 2 tbsp of oil.
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp of ghee.
  6. It's of Whole spices (Cinnamon, cloves, stone flower, 1 tsp fennel seeds).
  7. You need 1 1/2 of onion thinly sliced.
  8. You need 1 of red chilli.
  9. It's 1 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
  10. You need 5-6 of stem coriander leaves.
  11. You need 3-4 of stem mint leaves.
  12. You need 1 1/2 of medium size tomato chopped.
  13. You need 3/4 tsp of red chilli powder.
  14. Prepare of Salt as required.
  15. Prepare drops of Few lemon.

Take Bottle Gourd and dice into cubes as shown below in picture. Heat the oil into pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and green chillies.   1. Heat a pressure cooker with oil and ghee and temper with whole spices..
  2. Add onion and red chilli. sauté until it becomes very soft..
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté until raw smell goes..
  4. Add coriander leaves and mint leaves. Sauté for few mins. Add tomato and sauté until it becomes soft. Add red chilli powder and salt..
  5. Add bottle gourd and sauté for few mins. Add water and mix it well. Add rice and finally add few lemon drops. Close the lid and pressure cook for 2 whistles..
  6. Serve with any raita..
